Education is a pillar of the Orchestra a Plettro della Penisola Sorrentina. Through courses and educational projects, the OPPS passes on the mandolin tradition to the new generations and promotes musical literacy in the area.<\/p>

Since October 2022 the OPPS has offered a completely free mandolin course, aimed at young people aged 10 to 18.<\/p>

The project was created to fill a gap: the mandolin is excluded from instrumental teaching in lower secondary schools.<\/p>

The course is taught by highly experienced teachers and brings together young people of different ages: a tradition passed from masters to pupils.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00abThe European Kids Musical Trip\u00bb, conceived by Vincent Beer-Demander, is the Erasmus project that placed the mandolin at the centre of a European network for teaching and education. Born from a concrete gap: in Italy, Belgium, Portugal and France the instrument was taught unevenly, often without dedicated paths for the youngest. The project created a pedagogical repertoire for young pupils, trained qualified teachers and gave life to children's orchestras.<\/p>

From January 2024 to May 2025 it travelled across Europe with five mobilities between Sorrento, Marseille, Benevento, Madeira and Muret, leading to an open and inclusive teaching method, organised around six key themes ranging from Posture to the Musician's Wellbeing, now freely available and adaptable by teachers and musicians throughout Europe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
