From 2 to 6 January 2027 Verona hosts the tenth edition of the Winter Mandolin and Guitar Accademia, directed by Carlo Aonzo. With Michele De Martino, Roberto Margaritella and Giulio Ferrari, the Accademia brings together musicians of every level each year: amateurs, conservatory students, professionals, teachers and soloists, as well as those approaching the instrument for the first time.
The days take place at the Hotel San Marco, a ten-minute walk from the Basilica of San Zeno, and alternate orchestra and sectional work, technique and interpretation classes, workshops and moments of exchange. Participants can take part with mandolin, mandola, mandocello or classical guitar, and the courses are held in Italian and English.
The programme culminates in the final concert of the Grand Orchestra, the moment when students and teachers play together. An opportunity to study, meet and celebrate the tenth birthday of the Winter Accademia together, in a UNESCO heritage city.
